The Invitation to Space
When your soul whispers... "something has to give..."
For me, it didn’t come in a dramatic lightning bolt, it came after weeks of walking past the same pile of papers on my desk, the same stack of laundry, the same unopened boxes in the corner of my office. It came in a breath, the moment I finally stopped pretending I could work around it all.
When I cleared the first shelf, I felt something I hadn’t expected: fear.
Space felt like an open door, and part of me didn’t want to know what might come through. We often think making space is easy. Just clean the room, say no to the extra commitment, block off the calendar. But space can be confronting. It can be quiet in a way that’s almost deafening.
And yet, that quiet is where the invitation is.
The invitation to stop performing and start listening. To ask: What could grow here if I gave it the chance?
This is the beginning of the practice. Not to fill the space immediately, but to hold it gently. To trust that what belongs will find its way in.
We begin with a single spark.
These devotions are part of a living practice, a slow and sacred offering from my own path of remembering, shared in the hope they ignite something along your own journey.
